You will fail if……..

failureIf you want to succeed online, there are some things that you need to know………

You will fail IF……….

1. You cannot follow simple instructions.
2. You do not take daily actions.
3. You are not coachable.
4. You do not appreciate that it takes time to build a business, and make allowances for that.
5. You quit.

Of course, if you do the exact opposite to the above, you will succeed.

The people that are succeeding, that are making money online, are able to follow instructions, attend meetings, watch training videos and implement that training. They take daily action and adjust those actions as necessary. They do what needs to be done. They remain open to learning, they know that it takes time and they never quit.

A flexible mindset also helps, as does a fearless approach to risk. There is little room for fear on this journey. Money makes money, so you have to spread a little to gain a lot.

I see many people floundering online and I truly believe that a huge part of that failure is from the 5 reasons above.

Become a FacilitatorI have learned something truly valuable quite recently and I personally believe that it can impact any business quite dramatically.

It is this……..

We all think that we have to recruit hard, we have to sell, we have to persuade people into our business.

You don’t…..

Think of yourself more as a facilitator, a person that sets up a situation that can help another person to get to be where they want, to do what they want or have what they want. You can facilitate people towards greater confidence, self belief or indeed anything that helps them to create the mental shift that is needed for success.

The entire process of ‘recruiting’ is no longer an issue. On a weekly basis, I am bringing 2 – 6 people into one or more of my own businesses. I don’t even think about it as recruiting, more like positioning people in a place that is right for them.

I believe that to succeed in this business you have to have two things in place:-

1. The right mindset
2.The ability to be flexible in that mindset so that you can adapt in a heartbeat

Take ActionFailure to take action has to be one of the greatest reasons for failure in life, let alone in business.

Years ago, I remember watching my friend’s dad grabbing his hand as he was wheeled to theatre and he said, ‘Son, don’t waste your life. I haven’t done half the things I wanted to do. Please don’t do the same‘ Sadly, he died on the operating table.

I speak to a lot of people daily. What frustrates me is when people say, ‘I don’t know what to do‘, so they do nothing. Or worse, you tell them what to do, and they don’t do it. I see those same people in groups saying, ‘I need help’ and I want to tear my hair out. The apathy and the futility of doing nothing is exhausting.

Yet people say they want to change things. If you have no money, how do you suppose that is going to change unless you take action? If you want your lifestyle to be better, how do you suppose that will happen? A lottery win? Oh dear. Good luck with that.

Information is ‘out there‘, we all have access to it. 95% of my learning has come from following and studying successful people. I watch videos, attend online training courses, read books and listen to audio. I never stop learning and I act on that learning. Even on bad days, I do something to help grow my business. If you are fearful, you can learn to overcome that fear. You can overcome anything, but you have to want it badly enough to push through the comfort zone and take that first action.

I don’t know the reason for this aspect of human nature. Is it laziness? Are people afraid of failure or success? What stops someone from taking action?

If you are in the networking marketing business and you are NOT going to take action, why are you putting yourself through this? It will never work. You either have to decide to take action or walk away. It’s not going to work unless you do something, anything, to get started.

Action = Results. Period.

Forgive me if I sound a little testy today. This subject is my button pusher but I am sure that many of you can relate to my sentiments.

outlineThere is a spectacularly high failure rate in the direct selling industry. The most common reason is that people give up too soon.

From my experience I have found one or more of the following happens:-

1.  A state of overwhelm once the initial excitement has worn off
2.  Failure to keep the lines of communication open
3.  Fear kicks in – of failure or success – I see both
4.  Negative mindset i.e “I can’t recruit”
5.  Failure to follow training
6.  Laziness
7. Procrastination
8.  Listening to naysayers
9. Jump into something ‘easier’ {It rarely is}
10. Rush off and do it their own way, failing to follow a trusted system

Are some of you nodding your heads and saying ‘yep, happened to me’

The personal attribute that I see most in successful people is rock solid determination. Determination will carry you beyond lack of experience. It will propel you into success and  fast. It becomes a tangible force to be reckoned with. No matter what happens or doesn’t happen you will not be phased, you will keep going. You will refuse to take a detour from your target.

To develop determination, you have to work out your ‘why‘ what motivated you to be a part of the industry? Financial freedom, recognition or lifestyle freedom? Whatever it is, you have to continually remind yourself of your ‘why‘.

When you are having doubts or going through any one of the ten negative responses, your ‘why’ can stop you running and anchor you back into the reality of taking action and staying consistent.

Be determined…
